Urinalysis is an examiniation of the secretions of the kidneys and is of great service in diagnosis of disease. To have a complete urianlysis, the urine must be examined physically, chemically and microscopically. At our office we do only the physical and chemical evaluation of the specimen after the client has done the following Diet Instructions for 3 days prior to collection.

Diet Instructions

No nutritional supplements, unless prescribed by a physician

No gum, breath mints, or candy

No eating your known allergenic foods

No artificial food colorings

No artificial sweeteners, sweets of all kinds, or sugar

No alcohol, coffee, black tea or sodas

No laxitives & bulking agents, unless prescribed by a physician

No salt

No beets, carrots or berries

No processed, adulterated or junk foods. Only natural foods!

Eat meat or fish at two meals per day during these 3 days.

Drink a minimum of 6 glasses of water daily
